Live Music Performance
Solo or group
The majority of the performance is live, no pre-recorded music will be allowed, except in the form of an instrumental accompaniment.

Novelty/Skit
Comedy, Magic, Drama, Poetry, Storytelling, Impersonators, Juggling, Ventriloquist, etc.
Solo or group
No vocal/instrumental (live) music performances in this category except for background music or as necessary to the plot of the skit

Dance/Lip Sync
Solo or Group
No live narration
Emphasis on performing to recorded music

Emcee
Solo

Time Limit

 The time limit for each act will be EIGHT minutes INCLUDING SET UP. Acts are limited to 15 performers.

Rules

 Participants may only perform ONE time during the show. Any participant who participates in more than one performance will disqualify BOTH acts.

 NO profanity or vulgar lyrics in any vocal performance or dance music.

 At the audition performers will need to perform their complete act once. Costumes and props are not required. The Variety Show is limited to 20 acts. Performers will be dropped from the line-up for inappropriate acts, a lack of planning, or overall level of quality.

 Groups providing recorded music/accompaniment of any kind must submit it on one CD at the audition. CDs from all groups will be converted to one CD for the show. NO STOP/START OF SUPPLIED MUSIC WILL BE PROVIDED.


Audition and Dress Rehearsals are MANDATORY
Failure to perform at either will result in disqualification.
Groups altering acts will result in disqualification and will be escorted out.
